Reviewing Students' Previous Attempts on Written Assignments
If a student has been allowed multiple attempts on a written assignment, all of their past attempts (as well as any instructor comments), are saved and can be easily accessed. Please note that previous attempts of eClipz assignments (typically Assignments 1 and 2 in OnMusic Appreciation) will not contain previously posted eClipz comments, but will include submission details, feedback comments, grades, and instructor feedback.
To review previous attempts for non-eClipz assignments:
- From your course home page, access the desired assignment.
- Click the 'View all submissions' link at the bottom of the page.
- Click the 'Grade' button to the right of the desired student's name.
- Once the submission has loaded, locate the 'Attempt settings' pane on the bottom-right of the grading screen.
- Click the green 'View a different attempt' attempt' button. (You will only see this option if a student has had multiple attempts.) This will load a pop-up window, displaying all of this student's previous attempts.
- Select the desired attempt and click 'Review.' The screen will refresh, loading the previous attempt on the left, and your feedback comments and grade on the right.
- Once you are done reviewing, you can select another attempt by again clicking the 'View a different attempt' button. You may exit the grading screen by clicking the course name, assignment title, or 'Return to Gradebook' links at the very top of the grading screen.
